Apple’s iCloud service experienced an outage on Tuesday evening, causing mistakes with account sign-in, iCloud Postal mail, and web apps via iCloud.com. The issues began shortly after SEVEN ET, when user-reported issues began pouring in on Downdetector.com and throughout Twitter.
Apple acknowledged the issue on its system status website, too on its Apple Support Tweets account. Many users started viewing similar error messages, including one which says, “The application you have selected does not exist.” MacRumors reported that various other Apple services, like Apple Pay out and the company’s web-based app-specific security password generator, were also experiencing problems, although Apple never acknowledged as a lot on its system status web page.
As of 8:30PM ET, Apple’s system status web page says the issues affecting iCloud are already resolved. But the company’s support account on Twitter continues to be replying to users experiencing problems and saying the company is positively investigating.
Update June second, 8:40PM ET: Additional that Apple’s system status web page says the issues with iCloud are actually resolved.
