CBSE begins Class 10, 12 plank exams evaluation process, check sensitive result dates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the assessment process for the class 10 plus class 12 board exams which were held in February. The Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister had announced that answer scripts is going to be made available to teachers at their doorsteps. The process of transporting the answer scripts has started on Tuesday.

In every region, the centres are performing as the coordinating points. Further, 3000 centres have been earmarked by the Ministry of HRD from where answer sheets is going to be distributed for evaluation and then gathered back at. As per the HRD Ministry, the Ministry of House Affairs has allowed the transport from the answer scripts amid the countrywide lockdown.

There are usually over 1.5 crore answer scripts which have to be checked. They are class 10 and 12 examinations which have been conducted before the lockdown had been announced. Detailed instructions have been released to teachers for evaluation. According to the government sources, the result for CBSE board exams will be announced by August-end — before the JEE Advanced advantage list is released — to allow admissions by September 1.

Meanwhile, CBSE has also announced to keep the pending exams from July 1 to July 15. As many as 29 examinations will be re-conducted, most of them are to get subjects important for college admission.

The class 10 exams is going to be conducted only for the students who else had to miss their exams because of the riots in North East Delhi earlier this year. Those who have appeared for course 10 exams will not have to take test again, nor the CBSE may conduct any pending exams to them. The board is devising the mechanism to promote students for these examinations. Class 1 to 8 students have already been promoted to the next class based on inner assessment.
