Potato popcorn is a tasty snack that you must try.
We can’t go out to watch films but we can always recreate theatre-like experience at home. With all old plus new movies being shown upon online streaming apps, we only require our comfy couch and a large bowl of popcorn. You can make popcorns from the beginning with corns, or buy pre-mixed instant popcorn packs from the marketplace. But, if you are out of both, we now have a solution for this corny situation. Create aloo popcorns, because potatoes are there in our kitchen.
Aloo popcorns may not be puffy and airy-like corn popcorns, but they’ll give you the same bite-sized crunchy snacking experience. You can simply fill your bowl with them and maintain popping them in your mouth. Even when you’ll be totally engrossed in your film, you won’t be able to ignore the deliciousness of the snack. Now, making aloo popcorns may require some time and effort however, you wouldn’t regret doing it once likely to taste these yummy munchies.
How to make spud popcorn at home:
1 big or 2 small potatoes
1 red onion, chopped
1 green chilli, chopped
1 parmesan cheese slice or grated 1/4 glass mozzarella cheese
Oregano and chilli flakes to taste
Salt to taste
Half glass cornflour
Water as required
1 cup breadcrumbs
Step 1 – Boil the particular spud in advance. (Takes around 15 minutes in pressure cooker.)
Step 2 – Mash the potato, add salt, cheese, oregano, chilli flakes and green chilli. Combine thoroughly to make solid dough.
Step 3 – In a separate dish, mix cornflour in water to create thick batter. Add some salt into it. Place fine bread crumbs within another bowl.
Step 4 – Divide the potato dough into small balls. One by one, dip them in cornflour batter and immediately coat with bread crumbs.
Step 5 – Deep fry or bake or air fry the popcorns to make a crunchy snack.
Pair these flavourful popcorns with sauce or just eat as it is. These aloo popcorns with cheesy filling won’t let you miss your regular popcorns.
